I write historical fiction for readers of all ages.

My latest book for young readers  is 1917, set during the First World War in the skies above Flanders, and on the Home Front in Melbourne, where debate rages about conscription.

My most recent book for adults is Goddess, based on the life of the remarkable French opera star and swordswoman, Julie d’Aubigny (also known as Mademoiselle de Maupin).

Read more about Goddess, the real La Maupin, and all my research here.
